Leaving a Legacy

How you can help Bledlow Village Hall’s work live on in the future?

Regardless of the size, a legacy gift to Bledlow Village Hall would enable our Charity to continue to provide a communal centre to Bledlow village.

Any gift, no matter how large or small, will make a lasting difference. So, if you or a loved one have benefitted from the warm and welcoming communal spirit of the Hall, you will know how important it is and may feel that you would like others to benefit in a similar way now and in the future.

Leaving a legacy in your own memory or in memory of your loved one would be a positive and enduring way to provide the same benefits to others who wish the Hall to continue to offer a centre for our local community.

Below are some phrases which may help you and your legal advisor to draft a clause in your Will:

To leave a share of your estate

“I give % of my residuary estate free of all taxes to the Bledlow Village Hall, registered charity number 300232 (or any successor charity a beneficiary of which is the Bledlow Village Hall), for its general purposes, and I declare that the receipt of a Trustee of Bledlow Village Hall charity (or any such successor) shall be a sufficient discharge to my executors and trustees.”

To leave a fixed sum of money

“I give the sum of £ (pounds only) free of all taxes to the Bledlow Village Hall, registered charity number 300232 (or any successor charity a beneficiary of which is the Bledlow Village Hall), for its general purposes, and I declare that the receipt of a Trustee of Bledlow Village Hall charity (or any such successor) shall be a sufficient discharge to my executors and trustees.”
